During the next several weeks, we will be highlighting members of the Class of 2020. This seniors spotlight features Gabe Suarez Where will you be attending college and what is your intended major? Hobart and William Smith- Pre Law What others schools were you accepted to? St. John Fisher, Le Moyne, Salve Regina, Mercyhurst, St. Bonaventure, Hamilton, Oneonta, Genesseo, Providence. Why did you choose this college? Because it had the 3+3 Pre Law program and it felt like a good fit for me.

Keough Assumes President’s Role; Brother Joseph To Serve As Special Advisor

Matt Keough and Brother Joseph Jozwiak, FSC. Matt Keough, who has been CBA’s Principal since 2015, will assume the role of President of the school, effective, July 1, 2020. Keough succeeds Brother Joseph Jozwiak, FSC, who will continue at CBA, as a Special Advisor to the President. Keough began his career at CBA in 2004 as a member of the Math department faculty. Vivianne Saba (fourth from left) and her family at the Lasallian Dinner and Auction in 2017. Vivanne Saba, who joined the CBA family in September of 1991, will retire after this year. Saba has taught all levels of Spanish from 8th grade through the Advanced Placement courses. Drive-In, Drive Thru Senior Night was held on Saturday, May 16. Approximately 100 seniors and their families pulled into the student parking lot to watch the Senior Video produced by Janelle Little ’20. They then drove up to the stadium and got out of their cars one at a time, to pick up their yearbooks, and take photos with coaches and Fine Arts faculty members. As the school year winds down, seniors look forward to the end of year events. Yearbook distribution, participating in their last game, concert or performance, attending the Senior Ball and viewing the Senior Video are all milestones that occur in May. Throughout the spring and summer, CBA has sought options that do not cancel these important celebrations, but redefine how to commemorate these senior traditions.
