It was a record-breaking day for CBA’s annual Giving Day, held on Tuesday, May 25.
“All In 4CBA” was the theme of Giving Day 2021, which surpassed every goal that was set, and broke the previous record for the number of gifts received in one day: 509 total gifts. This was not the only record for the day, as more funds than ever before were raised-a total of $137,482. These totals far surpass the previous records of 226 gifts and $110, 318 raised.
This year’s gifts were from 271 alumni, 142 parents, and 47 faculty and staff members. The new records are truly a testament to each and every member of the CBA community.
Thanks to the generosity of Mrs. Nancy and Mr. Bill Byrne ’66, who matched the first $25,000 of gifts to the Fund for CBA. It was their match that created a call to action for other generous members of the CBA family to join in this effort.
In addition, Mr. Bernie Atkinson ’50, Mr. Guy Hart ’92, Dr. Luciano Sintuzzi ’84, Mr. Denny Ragan ’60, the CBA Alumni Association, the Hulslander family, and the young alumni anonymous donors challenged the CBA community, and every decade challenge and the parent challenge were met, unlocking a total of $25,000 over and above the matching gifts.
