Senior Olivia Davis was recently named a finalist in the Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Contest sponsored by Syracuse Stage. Her play was selected as one of eight finalists from approximately 250 submissions. Her play, called "I.V. Pole," will be performed as a streamed event presented by Syracuse Stage on May 21 and May 22.
Seniors Ellie Pedone and Joe Andaloro were named as semi-finalists in the competition as well. They were among 16 semi-finalists (including Olivia) who attended a virtual workshop where they heard their plays read and received feedback. They revised their work and resubmitted it for final consideration.
All students are members of Todd Benware’s Creative Writing class.
