Record Breaking Day For All In 4CBA Giving Day

“All In 4CBA” was the theme of Giving Day 2021, which surpassed every goal that was set, and broke the previous record for the number of gifts received in one day: 509 total gifts. This was not the only record for the day, as more funds than ever before were raised-a total of $137,482. These totals far surpass the previous records of 226 gifts and $110, 318 raised.

Dowd Honored As Lasallian Educator Of The Year

Christian Brothers Academy selected Holly Dowd as the 2020-2021 Lasallian Educator of the Year. Holly, who is the Director of Enrollment Management, was nominated and elected for the prestigious award by her colleagues. Fellow faculty member, Ann Cabal offered a tribute to Dowd which was shared during the virtual National Honors Society Induction ceremony.

More Than 150 Students Inducted Into National Honor Society

More than 150 students were inducted into the Brother Adolphus Chapter of the National Honor Society in two separate ceremonies for the Class of 2021 and the Class of 2022 on Thursday, April 22 in the John Lynch Gymnasium.

Davis Named Finalist In Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Contest

Senior Olivia Davis was recently named a finalist in the Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Contest sponsored by Syracuse Stage. Her play was selected as one of eight finalists from approximately 250 submissions. Her play, called "I.V. Pole," will be performed as a streamed event presented by Syracuse Stage on May 21 and May 22.

CBA Students Return To Five Day In-Person Learning

It was a day that the CBA community has been waiting for a long time. On Tuesday, April 6, more than 700 students returned to school for the new five day in-person learning platform. It is the first time that the entire student body has been on campus since March 16, 2020, when schools closed down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
