College Readiness

As many of you remember, the month of May is filled with much excitement about the future of our soon to be graduates! Each year, we seek to send off young men and women who are prepared academically, morally, and spiritually. This past week, Syracuse.com published an article that shared the U.S. News national public high school rankings.
A major contributor to the ranking is the metric, "college readiness." The metric combines several factors including Advanced Placement courses. The article highlighted the top 25 public high schools in CNY and their corresponding data, including college readiness.

2. Fayetteville-Manlius Senior High School - College Readiness Score: 50.9
3. Jamesville-Dewitt High School - College Readiness Score: 53.1
4. Cazenovia High School - College Readiness Score: 49.6
5. Marcellus High School - College Readiness Score: 47.3
6. Tully Junior-Senior High School - College Readiness Score: 30.4
7. Hamilton Junior-Senior High School - College Readiness Score: 37.2
8. Fabius-Pompey Mid die School High School - College Readiness Score: 33.3
9. Westhill High School - College Readiness Score: 39.6
10. Chittenango High School - College Readiness Score: 20.8
11. Cicero-North Syracuse High School - College Readiness Score: 22.9
12. Baldwinsville High School - College Readiness Score: 32.4
13. Onondaga Senior High School - College Readiness Score: 23.7
14. Oneida Senior High School - College Readiness Score: 29.9
15. Jordan-Elbridge High School - College Readiness Score: 27.1
16. East Syracuse Minoa Central High School - College Readiness Score: 21.4
17. Liverpool High School Liverpool - College Readiness Score: 25.4
18. West Genesee Senior High School - College Readiness Score: 26.3
19. Mexico High School - College Readiness Score: 14.5
20. Phoenix High School - College Readiness Score: 11.2
21. Pulaski High School - College Readiness Score: 16.0
22. Central Square High School - College Readiness Score: 12.4
23. Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School - College Readiness Score: 23.4
24. Fulton High School - College Readiness Score: 13.7
As we begin to celebrate the CBA class of 2024, we are proud of the countless ways that they are prepared for college and life. Academically, our graduating class has a "college readiness" score of 76.5. Congratulations to all of the students, their families, and our entire community of educators and supporters who contributed to this phenomenal achievement! I look forward to continuing to recognize the CBA class of 2024 and the many ways that they are "ready" to positively impact the world beyond CBA!
