A Heartfelt Thank You to our CBA Community
June 7, 2024

Dear CBA Community,

At 2:51 PM this afternoon, the school bell will signify the end of the 2023-2024 academic year as our students complete their last day of classes and begin preparation for their end of the year exams. While the minutes tick closer to that last period bell, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication, support, and commitment to our school's mission and values. Together, we have accomplished remarkable achievements throughout the past year as we continued to build on our historic legacy at Christian Brothers Academy.

To our esteemed faculty and staff, your passion for education and tireless efforts to nurture our students' minds and hearts have truly made a difference. Your wisdom, generosity, faith, and zeal have inspired and empowered our students to reach new heights of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and extracurricular achievement.

To our incredible students, you are the heartbeat of our school community. Your commitment to learning and embodying the Lasallian values of faith, service, and community have left an indelible mark on all of us.

To our supportive parents and guardians, thank you for entrusting us with the education of your children. Your partnership and involvement in our school community have been invaluable. Your unwavering support and encouragement have been instrumental in our collective success.

To our alumni, you are a testament to the transformative power of a Lasallian education. Your continued engagement and contributions to our school community serve as inspiration to current and future generations of Lasallians.

Lastly, to all members of our extended Lasallian family, including benefactors, volunteers, and friends, thank you for your generosity, kindness, and steadfast belief in our mission! Your support enables us to continue providing a holistic education that empowers students to become compassionate leaders, lifelong learners, and committed servants to their communities.

At CBA Syracuse, we may not be able to end world hunger, or mediate world peace. Yet, we are able to transform the world one heart at a time. As we pray each day, living Jesus in our hearts means putting our faith into action. We may not be able to build the entire kingdom of God but we are laying brick on top of brick with each heart that is transformed by the Lasallian mission.

In thanksgiving for this past year, and with a steadfast commitment to ensuring our future, I would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to support our Annual Fund. Our fiscal year ends on June 30. We need 194 more donors to exceed our annual record! Your generosity enables us to provide vital resources and opportunities for our students, ensuring that they receive the exceptional education and support that they deserve.

GIVE NOW

Whether you choose to contribute financially, volunteer your time, or simply spread the word about our mission, your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the strength of our community. For that, I am tremendously grateful.

As we reflect on the past year and look ahead to the future, let us carry forward the spirit of faith, community, and service that defines our Lasallian heritage. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence, uphold our values, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Thank you for reading these reflections each Friday! I truly appreciate your replies and feedback each week. LasallianLife will resume in the fall.

Wishing you all a joyous and restful summer, filled with moments of love, laughter, and renewal.

Live Jesus in our hearts!

Mr. Matthew Keough
