CBA will celebrate the Class of 2020 with various activities this week.
On Thursday, members of the senior class (five at a time) will display their college destinations with the traditional chalking the walk in front of the school.
A class-wide graduation ceremony and Founder’s Day recognition will take place on Friday. The program begins at 8:00 p.m. with opening prayer, followed by small group graduation rehearsal. The senior class graduation poem, reflections by Valedictorian Lizzie Lucas and Salutatorian Thienan Tran, Founder’s Day talk from President Keough, and the singing of the CBA Alma Mater will highlight the event. The event is for seniors only. Founder’s Day will be live streamed through the CBA NFHS Network. Rain date is Aug. 1.
Bishop Lucia will be the celebrant at a virtual Baccalaureate Mass on Saturday.
The celebration culminates with commencement on Sunday. The five senior homerooms will gather at a designated time between 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Each ceremony will include procession to “Pomp and Circumstance;” a greeting & welcome by President Keough; recognition of individual graduation awards; presentation of diplomas to graduates; closing prayer, and singing of the Alma Mater. The event will be live streamed on the CBA NFHS Network.
CBA will adhere to all CDC guidelines, including temperature checks and a health questionnaire. Families and graduates are asked to wear masks and to remain socially distanced from each other while on the CBA campus.
